Brooks joined REALPAC in January 2014 and brings with him a wealth of experience in the field of
government and stakeholder relations, and public policy. Brooks is responsible
for advancing REALPAC advocacy positions through multiple levels of government
via a transparent, open approach in line with REALPAC's mission and vision.
Brooks monitors the daily and long-term progress of relevant government
legislation, produces monthly and as needed government relations updates,
government submissions, in depth policy research papers and commentaries, and
maintains close relationships with important government and stakeholder
Prior to joining
REALPAC, Brooks was a Policy Advisor in the Office of the Mayor of Toronto.
While there, Brooks assisted with the management of diverse policy files,
Council relations, and targeted stakeholder relations activities. Brooks has
also worked on a myriad of political and non-profit campaigns at both the
regional and national level.
Brooks is a full
member of the Public Affairs Association of Canada (PAAC) and the Commercial
Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP).
