Carolyn
is responsible for membership recruitment, retention and engagement at REALPAC and growing the value proposition for the Chief Executives of REALPAC Member Companies. She manages the delivery of several Member-only events including the
Chief Executive Summit, Chief Executive Policy Roundtables, Bank of Canada
Dinner and the Annual General Meeting. Carolyn also provides strategic
direction to the Associations’ research and environmental programs, marketing
and communications, and policy and government relations areas. She Co-Chairs
the Human Resources Committee and provides oversight, support, maintenance and
enhancement of the Capital Markets Committee, Corporate Responsibility &
Sustainability Committee, Human Resources Committee (including the Canadian
Real Estate Compensation Survey), Fund Management Committee and the Research
Advisory Committee. Carolyn is also responsible for a number of special events
at the Association including the Human Resources Summit, and three industry
receptions held the evening prior to the RealCapital Conference, the RealREIT
Conference and the Green Real Estate Conference. She oversees marketing and
communications at the Association in addition to media relations.
Carolyn
joined REALPAC in June 2000, with significant experience as a management and
land use planning/development consultant. Prior to joining REALPAC, Carolyn was
a Senior Associate and Senior Planner at Dillon Consulting Limited and was a
Manager in Arthur Andersen’s Real Estate Advisory Services Group. Her career
focused on the provision of consulting services including corporate real
estate, site location/relocation, project management of multi-disciplinary land
use and environment projects (nationally and internationally), public
consultation, and real property disposition initiatives for public and private
sector clients.
Carolyn
holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the Canadian
Society of Association Executives, is a full Member of the Canadian Institute
of Planners (MCIP), and is a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) in the
Province of Ontario. She is an avid equestrian, enjoys world travel and has
recently taken up snowshoeing.
